William Ray

William (Will) Ray is P-E Handley-Walker’s CEO and Managing Director. Will has over 40 years experience in various management roles including Chief Chemist, QHSE Manager and Production Manager. Responsibilities have included regulatory compliance, internal and external lead auditor, RTO Manager and trainer/assessor. His chemicals expertise covers a wide range of specialty chemicals including surfactants, dispersants, defoamers, silicones, adhesives, cleaning agents, water treatment, and surface coatings technologies, Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), Dangerous Goods, Hazardous Chemicals and Scheduled Poisons classification. Will has authored hundreds of Safety Data Sheets covering a varied range of industries and chemistries, in addition to developing and delivering workshops of GHS classification, SDS and label authoring for Australia and New Zealand. Will has presented at numerous conferences including HAZMAT 2012 (NFPA) on new SDS Code, Australasian Laboratory Management Association (ALMA) (2010, 2014, 2015, 2016) on SDS/GHS classification, and conducted GHS classification workshops at Safety in Action (Darwin 2014) for Safe Work Australia, and Science Industry Association (GHS classification workshops around Australia in 2015 and 2016), and delivered in-house GHS workshops for a range of chemical manufactures.

Will is a Lead Auditor (under contract) for Third Party Certification Bodies. He is based in Victoria and travels as required to conduct audits, training and consulting. He has also completed an Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and Sea Survival course.

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110)
  • Registered Lead & Principal Auditor (EXEMPLAR GLOBAL)

  • Member of the Australasian Institute of Dangerous Goods Consultants (AIDGC) – DG Classes 3, 5.1, 6, 8, 9
  • (Previously) Lead RTO (AQTF) and GTO Auditor, Dept of Education NSW (VETAB) under contract

Peter Donoghue

Peter has over 20 years of experience in the areas of Quality Management Systems, Product Quality Control / Assurance, Electrical Regulatory Compliance, Manufacturing System Process Improvement and 5 years QS 9000 Automotive Systems experience. Peter’s roles have included Quality Management of Domestic Electrical Products, Rubber Products for the Plumbing and Mining Industries, Project Management for a leading Automotive Electrical / Electronics Company. Peter Donoghue is based in Victoria and travels as required.

Peter is a Certified Quality Control Engineer.
